Job Detail:
The British High Commission is seeking a Migration Delivery Assistant to carry out the UK’s migration objectives in Bangladesh. The primary focus of this activity will be on increasing the number of returns from the UK to Bangladesh, conducting field visits and overseeing projects in support of migration objectives. The role is based in Dhaka but the officer will be expected to travel to Sylhet on a monthly basis for approximately a week at a time, working independently to conduct verifications/family tracings/develop and take forward investigations. The MDA as a representative of Her Majesty’s Government will ensure that they act with due diligence and professionalism at all times, treating individuals they encounter with respect and courtesy.
responsibilities include:
Field visits: You will be responsible for investigating UK referrals originating from the Home Office, Police; Crime and Financial Investigations teams; etc
Project work: You will be responsible for running projects which support developing capacity within Bangladesh in the area of migration. You will be required to work with a host of key interlocutors.
Operational Support: You will be expected to provide ad hoc support to assist the delivery of Immigration Enforcement objectives concerning organised immigration crime and decision quality.
