Educational Qualification:

Experience:

Minimum 1 year experience is preferable

Requirement:

Have knowledge on training and facilitation methods, tools and techniques, contemporary development issues especially in the context of Bangladesh.
Have knowledge on urbanisation, urban poverty and urban development, urban governance structure and processes, gender and women empowerment the context of Bangladesh,
Have skills on training facilitation and coordination, use of different training methods and tools, time management, public speaking.
Have skills on communications and report writing, decision making and problem solving, people management and ability to work autonomously with highly developed problem solving abilities
Need competencies on creativity, result oriented, integrity, flexibility, adaptability, teamwork, self-motivated, ability to adapt to change, commitment to learning, developing skills and sharing knowledge and information
Age Range: Maximum 32 years

Job Detail:

Position: Trainer, Urban Development

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Prepare annual capacity development plans for programme participants (including community members, local government officials and elected representatives, youth and adolescents) and Urban Development Programme (UDP) field staff according to programme targets and budget
Conduct training needs assessment of UDP’s programme participants (including community members, local government officials and elected representatives, youth and adolescents) and field staff
Assist Manager Capacity Development to coordinate with BRAC Learning Division (BLD) and external resource persons/organizations to develop customised training modules and capacity development materials based on programme needs
Organise training/workshops for the community leaders, local representatives including government officials
Develop modules/ guidelines and other materials to facilitate training/workshop
Provide support to manage training logistics including arranging resource persons, venues, materials, etc
Identify and mobilise capacity development resources available internally and externally for staff and programme participants
Conduct training sessions, workshops and other capacity development activities for programme participants and staff according to programme need
